Talk about a sweet gig: the White House has promoted assistant pastry chef Susie Morrison to the lofty post of executive pastry chef. That job has been vacant since Bill Yosses, the architect of First Desserts, left the post earlier this year. His departure had some chefs wondering if the White House would opt to replace him with a chef with a focus on lighter dishes, in keeping with first lady Michelle Obama's focus on healthy eating.
